ITEs, ITCs and CICs are a range of custom made hearing devices and are individually moulded to fit the contours of the wearer’s ear.
In-the-ear (ITE) components are housed in a shell that sits snugly in the visible part of your ear with no wires or tubes to contend with. ITEs are easier to manage than smaller in-the-canal instruments and are suitable for moderate and severe hearing loss. They also often have a longer battery life.
In-the-canal (ITC) and completely-in-the-canal (CIC) are built to sit more inside the ear canal, meaning they are less visible than the ITE. They are suitable for mild to moderate hearing loss.
