Prior to working in Audiology, I completed a Bachelor of Science degree with Honours and worked in research science for 16 years. My daughters’ issues with ear infections together with a strong desire to remain in science and make a positive impact on peoples’ lives led me to undertake a 2 years full-time Masters degree while juggling the commitments of my 2 young children.
After graduating from the University of Western Australia with my Master of Clinical Audiology with Distinction in 2013, I worked for Australian Hearing for 2 years. During this time, I gained a wealth of experience and competence through developing my audiological skills in adult hearing rehabilitation and the fitting of digital hearing aids. I also undertook additional training to become a specialist in complex adult cases, assisting clients with additional issues that further impacted on their hearing loss. A strong interest in tinnitus management and counselling prompted me to undertake additional training in this area, to further assist my clients.
