I have been practicing Audiology for over 5 years. I have completed Masters in Audiology and Speech Language Pathology and am a full member of Australian College of Audiology (ACAud). I have work experience in paediatric and adult diagnostics and rehabilitation in a wide range of work environments. I love working in this role as it is most rewarding to be able to improve the quality of life of my clients through better hearing.
I became interested in Audiology by chance, when I took a part time administration position in a clinic in New Zealand in 2000. As my interest developed, I began study and completed my Certificate IV in Audiometry, then Diploma in Hearing Device Prescription and Evaluation and finally becoming a Qualified Practitioner. Beginning study rather late in my working life was somewhat of a challenge, but it was all worthwhile. I have now been working as a clinician in New Zealand and Australia for 17 years. The main attraction to my work is seeing how lives are changed by my involvement as a clinician – It is about helping my client’s improve their quality of life.
