Rebecca Verhoef graduated from Melbourne University as an Audiologist in 2004 and was excited to accept a role within the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital’s busy audiology outpatient department where she gained 3 years of experience in a wide range of ear pathologies. She then was employed by the University of Melbourne’s Audiology Clinic to work within their hearing aid clinic and supervise students in their clinical training, as well as mentoring and tutoring those students for 4 rewarding years. From this, she moved on to take a role setting up a new clinic forEastern Health in Victoria. This was Eastern Health’s only Audiology Clinic within the network of 4 Hospitals, located at the new Yarra Ranges Health where she worked for 9 years in the diagnosis of hearing pathologies in all ages from newborns to 100+ years of age! Being a new diagnostic clinic, it went from nothing to now a busy, highly reputable clinic with a wait list of 5-6 weeks, something she is most proud of. Having accomplished that area of Audiology, Rebecca wanted her next challenge and hearing device fitting was a step in the right direction. She loves meeting new clients, learning their story and helping them on their journey towards better hearing.
