I have been working as an Audiometrist for Hearing Life in Wollongong, Bowral and Barrack Heights NSW for ten years now; I now have a total of nearly 26 years of experience working as an Audiometrist all up. I have earned a Diploma of Hearing Device Prescription and Evaluation through the TAFE system, and a Bachelor of Audiometry from the University of New England. My aim is to assist as many individuals with hearing difficulty as I can, as hearing loss affects so many areas of our daily lives, makes communication needlessly difficult, and holds many of us back from reaching our full human potential. I am passionate about hearing rehabilitation, hearing technology and counselling, and I have an empathetic, supportive and patient-focussed approach to my work.
I joined the wonderful team of Hearing Life, Bowral in August 2016. I have been practicing clinical audiology since 2008, starting in Melbourne and then moving to Ballarat where I worked till 2011. I moved to Sydney in 2011 to pursue PhD to study brain activity in tinnitus patients at Macquarie University. Prior to that, I had completed Bachelors in Speech language Pathology and Audiology, and Masters in Audiology. It gives me immense satisfaction to work as an Audiologist, as it is a deeply rewarding profession, blending the knowledge and application of science, technology and health care.
